Shinobi Juhakkei

Centuries ago seeking autonomy from the oppressive Japanese class system of the time a few citizens fled into the mountainous regions where they developed Ninjitsu, a stealthy martial art perhaps inspired by Sun Tzu's The Art of War. Students trained and practiced the art from birth, playing children's games designed to impart expertise in unarmed combat, swordplay, weaponry, camouflage, escape and evasion. Ninjitsu was also designed to encourage spiritual growth by pushing oneself physically and mentally beyond normal human limits. The ninja were expert in espionage and assassination and offered their specialized services to samurai warlords and others who could afford them.
Masters of every form of subterfuge, the ninja were the most efficient and deadly warriors on the face of the Earth and became feared throughout Japan.
In 1485 there was a coup by a section of the clan which had more  mystical aspirations, dark ones unfortunately. Allying with a demon this ninja clan learnt the secrets of Diabolical magic. This led to them imposing a new final graduation test, one which involves the member being slain and then resurrected by said magic. However a side effect of this becomes that if the ninja is slain a second time then their corpse turns to dust. Unlike other factions of ninja this clan began working as mercenaries and sought after power themselves. The Juhakkei sought dominance over all others working for allies of convenience while seeking to eliminate their enemies.
The Juhakkei has survived into the early 21st century still seeking power in various forms and using their lethal skills and brutal methods.

 

Hierarchy
There is very little in the way of a true hierarchy, more of a Senpai and Kohai structure.
Genin The Genin are the normal ninja agents, sent out singly or in groups to perform various duties.
Chunin The Chunins are the seniors of the group, responsible for taking the orders from the Jonin and employing the Genin agents into missions. Chunin are responsible for mission designs, guides and setting up strategy. The Chunin also select the best ninja agents for each particular job.
Jonin The Jonin is the leader of the ninja clan. Only the highest level Chunin know who this is.

Operations

Publicly the International Hand and Foot Dojo offers powerful and effective self defence and fitness skills to men, women and children.
Its reputation for teaching is world renowned and even conducts training packages for the police and military.
In reality the high level members behind the organisation are part of an order of evil mystical ninja who are heavily involved in organized crime and mercenary activities such as assassination plots. They covet power above all other objectives and are primarily based in Japan, but operate internationally. Money is made by extortion, gambling, prostitution, drug trafficking, and any other illegal means to make a profit.
